Conducted June 6-7, 2013
By Rasmussen Reports

1* How closely have you followed news reports about the federal government’s secret collection of telephone records?

2* The federal government has been secretly collecting the phone records of millions of Americans for national security purposes regardless of whether there is any suspicion of wrongdoing. Do you favor or oppose the government’s secret collecting of these phone records?

3* Is the U.S. government spying too much on Americans these days, not enough or is the level of spying about right?

4* How likely is it that your personal records have been monitored at some point by the federal government?

5* Some people say that there is a natural tension between protecting individual rights and national security. In the United States today, does our legal system worry too much about protecting individual rights, too much about protecting national security, or is the balance about right?
