68% of Democrats Want Impeachment for Trump
Impeachment will be on the ballot in next November’s midterm election, most voters believe, and more than two-thirds of Democrats favor congressional candidates who will support impeachment of President Donald Trump.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 78% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is likely that if Democrats get control of Congress in the next election, they will try to impeach Trump. That includes 54% who say it’s Very Likely a Democrat-controlled Congress would impeach Trump. Only 16% don’t think it’s likely. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,099 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on December 21-23, 2025 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
