1* How closely have you followed recent news reports about President Obama’s new tax plan?

2* The president is proposing  $320 billion in tax increases on the wealthiest Americans, including raising capital gains and inheritance taxes, in an effort to pay for initiatives that he says will benefit lower- and middle-class taxpayers. Do you favor or oppose the tax increases the president is proposing?

3* If taxes are raised on the wealthiest Americans, will it help the economy, hurt the economy or have no impact on the economy?

4* Suppose the president and Congress agree to a plan that raises taxes on wealthy Americans. How likely is it that middle class taxes would go up too?

5* Do Americans pay higher taxes or lower taxes than citizens in most other countries, or is the level of taxation about the same?
