U.S. Likely Voters
Conducted February March 29-31, 2026
By Rasmussen Reports
1* Do you believe the Senate Republican leadership actually wants to pass the SAVE Act, which would require
American citizenship and photo identification to vote? Or are they merely
putting on a show to placate voters?
2* Surveys have shown bipartisan support among voters for
requiring American citizenship and photo ID to vote. Why do you think most
Democrats in the U.S. Senate do not support these proposals? Is it because they
believe the changes will suppress minority voter turnout, because they believe
the requirements are too burdensome for many voters, or because they want to
allow cheating in elections?
3* If the US Senate fails to pass these requirements for
American citizenship and photo ID to vote despite overwhelming bipartisan
public support, do you believe it shows that the U.S. Senate really doesn't
care about what the voters want?
