More Voters Support Government Control of Campaign Contributions
Most voters continue to believe the government should regulate campaign contributions, but they also still feel that publishing the names of all contributors is more important than limiting what they give.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. Voters feel the government should regulate how much money individuals can give to political campaigns. That’s up from 54% last year and 56% in 2009. Twenty-six percent (26%) disagree, while 12% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on October 18-19, 2015 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
