No ‘Next Time’ for GOP If It Doesn’t Challenge Voter Fraud Now

A Commentary By Brian C. Joondeph

Many establishment Republicans, particular of the NeverTrump variety, are telling us it’s time to move on from the 2020 presidential election. They promise future electoral reform and holding the cheaters accountable, with a better outcome in 2024.

Those eager to move on include many Trump detractors like Mitt Romney and John Kasich. How ironic that Romney may have been subject to the same electoral fraud in 2012 that we are seeing today with the possibility that he actually won the 2012 election. If there is ever an honest accounting of this year’s election including voting machines and programable vote counting software and algorithms, we may learn about past elections.

Today we are faced with numerous credible allegations of election fraud. Late night ballot dumps and a long list of statistical impossibilities in votes and turnout, electoral observers being excluded from mandated counting processes, dead persons voting and hundreds of sworn affidavits of illegality are all seeing the light of day.

Now a lawsuit is sitting at the front door of the U.S. Supreme Court, not alleging fraud, but constitutional issues of electoral process and the disenfranchising of voters based on the actions of four states.

Can we really just move on from this? If we do, what will change in 2024 or beyond? Do the defeatist Republicans not understand that this is their last stand as a relevant political party? If Democrats can steal a presidential election, what future election can’t they steal?

If the voting fraud we witnessed last month is allowed to continue, expect to see the two Georgia Senate seats go to the Democrats, creating a 50-50 split in the Senate with Vice-President Harris casting the tie-breaking vote. If Democrats can successfully pull this off on a national level with no accountability, they can surely do the same at a state level in January - and then in any future election.

This would give Democrats full control of the federal government. Once Democrats run the show, they will change the rules so that they never lose control again, at least not in our lifetimes. If elections can be manipulated to a preordained outcome, those running the elections will choose the winners, and those will be Democrats.

Adding two states to the union, Puerto Rico and Washington D.C., will give Democrats even more senators. Stacking the Supreme Court, as some Democrats promise, will provide an opportunity to rewrite the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Inauguration day is just over a month away. The days in between are for all the marbles. If a stolen election is allowed to stand in America, we have descended into banana republic territory where elections, and ultimately the Constitution, are meaningless.

It’s now or never. It’s not a ball game where the losers can “get ‘em next time”. If this isn’t set right, there will be no next time.
