Chicago Worker Confidence Stronger in 2006 than 2005

The average 2006 Hudson Employment Index SM for Chicago was 95.3, compared to 2005’s average of 92.1. The measure of worker confidence for the Windy City recorded its strongest reading of the year in June with 103.3, the city’s only reading above 100 for the year. It dipped to 88.3 in October. The national Index, based on responses from approximately 9,000 workers each month nationwide across all industries, also improved its yearly average from 101.5 in 2005 to 103.8 this year.
