The Rasmussen Minute: The Party of Trump
Democrats are obstructionists committed to resisting your every move. Republicans are hopelessly feckless, failing to repeal and replace Obamacare or pass any major legislation to date, despite having majorities in both houses of Congress. That's the view of "The Swamp" if you're the 45th president of the United States.
So what's a president to do? If you're Donald Trump, you start making deals. On Hurricane Harvey relief and the debt ceiling, with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Even on your signature issue, immigration, by putting DACA reform on the table. Meanwhile, you don't hesitate to rip senators of your own party and even members of your own Cabinet for not getting the job done.
Do Trump's attempts to thread the needle and drain The Swamp mark him as a true independent, our first third-party president in over 150 years? That's the subject of this week's Rasmussen Minute.
