Voters, Like House of Representatives, View Impeachment Along Party Lines

Monday, November 04, 2019

Just like the vote in the U.S. House of Representatives to push forward with an impeachment inquiry, voters are sharply divided along party lines over whether Democrats will come up with the goods to remove President Trump from office.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 45% of all Likely U.S. Voters think it’s likely that the House’s impeachment efforts will produce evidence of criminal wrongdoing that leads to the U.S. Senate’s removal of Trump from office. Forty-nine percent (49%) say that’s unlikely. This includes 24% who believe the House is Very Likely to produce evidence that leads to the president’s removal from office and 31% who say that’s Not At All Likely.
