80% Still See Gorsuch Confirmation As Likely

Wednesday, March 01, 2017

Despite opposition from most Senate Democrats, a sizable majority of voters continues to believe federal Judge Neil Gorsuch is likely to be the next justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 80% of Likely U.S. Voters think Gorsuch, an appellate court judge, is likely to be confirmed by the Senate, with 47% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 88% and 51% respectively in early February just after Gorsuch’s nomination was first announced. Unchanged is the eight percent (8%) who consider the confirmation of President Trump's first nominee to the Supreme Court as not very or Not At All Likely. Now 12% are undecided.
