1* Does the
United States spend too much, too little, or about the right amount on welfare
and other programs to help those in financial need?
2* Beginning
next year, Indiana will limit access to food stamps to three months for adults
without children who do not find work or do not participate in a 20-hour-a-week
job training program. Do you favor or oppose a program limiting food stamp
benefits like this in your state?
3* Should the federal government put time limits on all public
assistance programs?
4* Suppose someone lost his or her job and has been looking for
work for a full year without success. Should state governments offer such
workers a minimum wage government job instead of welfare payments?
5* How would
you rate the job government public assistance programs have done in reducing
poverty and getting Americans back to work – excellent, good, fair or poor?
