1* What
has a bigger impact on someone’s health—exercise, diet, and lifestyle choices
or health insurance and medical care?
2*
Some people have more medical care needs than others. Younger and healthier
adults have far fewer doctor visits than older Americans. Suppose one person
goes to the doctor twice as much as another person. Should the person who goes
to the doctor twice as much pay twice as much for medical care?
3* Is
it more important for the federal government to determine a minimum level of
health insurance that all Americans must buy or is it more important to give
individuals the right to select their own health insurance plans?
4*
Suppose someone wanted to buy insurance to cover major medical coverage for
issues like unexpected surgeries or cancer, but wanted to pay for routine
doctor visits on their own without insurance. Should people be allowed to buy
major medical insurance and pay for routine doctor visits on their own?
5* What
would do more to reduce health care costs—having the federal government
establish a single set of standards and regulations for health care or letting
individuals shop around for the type of health insurance coverage they want?
