President Clinton is viewed favorably by 47% of voters and unfavorably by 45%. While Democrats love him and Republicans hate him, unaffiliated voters are more evenly divided--47% favorable and 41% unfavorable.

Senator Clinton is viewed favorably by 45% and unfavorably by 45%. Among unaffiliated voters, those numbers are 44% and 42% respectively.

An earlier survey showed that voters have a generally favorable opinion of Democratic Vice Presidential nominee John Edwards. However, his numbers declined somewhat in the week following his introduction as Kerry's running mate.

The Democrats' Congressional leaders are less well known. Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle is viewed favorably by 23% or all voters and unfavorably by 38%. The Democratic leader in the House, Nancy Pelosi is viewed favorably by 13% and unfavorably by 31%.

Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, and Michael Moore are all viewed favorably by Democrats and unfavorably by unaffiliated voters.

Moore's movie, Fahrenheit-9/11, has attracted significant media attention and an audience that is generally left-of-center politically. Among Democrats, Moore is viewed favorably by 39% and unfavorably by 21%. Among unaffiliated voters, Moore's numbers are 25% favorable and 43% unfavorable.

Five percent (5%) of American voters say they will watch all of the Democratic National Convention on television. That matches the number of voters who go online for political information every day or nearly every day.
