The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is viewed favorably by 27% of American voters and unfavorably by 43%. Those figures include 7% with a Very Favorable opinion and 20% with a Very Unfavorable view. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is viewed favorably by 40% and unfavorably by 47%. Her numbers include 11% with a Very Favorable opinion and 26% with a Very Unfavorable view. Ratings for Congress overall are nearly as low as they were when Republicans lost control on election night 2006. However, Democrats are still trusted more than Republicans on nine of ten key issues tracked by Rasmussen Reports. For Reid, the current figures reflect a recovery from 19% a month ago and his ratings are very similar to where they were in May. During 2007, her ratings have ranged from 38% to 47%. Among Democrats, Reid is viewed favorably by 40% and unfavorably by 29%. Pelosi is viewed favorably by 63% of those in her own Party.
