Despite Blockades, Voters Still Like Trump’s Revised Travel Ban

Two federal judges in Hawaii and Maryland have blocked President Trump’s latest attempt at a travel ban, but roughly half of voters still want one.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters favor barring entry to the United States of people from Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, North Korea and Venezuela until the federal government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists from coming here. Thirty-nine percent (39%) oppose a travel ban from those nations, but 12% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
