Trump Seen As More Faithful to the U.S. Constitution Than Obama
Voters still have a strong attachment to the U.S. Constitution and think President Trump has been more faithful to it than his predecessor in the White House.
One-in-three Likely U.S. Voters (33%) think, when it comes to the executive actions he has taken in the White House, Trump has been more faithful to the U.S. Constitution than most other presidents. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that a plurality (49%), however, thinks he has been less faithful, while 12% say Trump has followed the Constitution about the same as other presidents have. The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted on July 15-16, 2018 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
