New York Senator Hillary Clinton (D) and Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D) both lead former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) by single digits in the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Clinton leads Huckabee 49% to 41% while Obama leads the Republican hopeful 48% to 39%.

In May, Clinton led Huckabee by five. In March, Obama led Huckabee by twenty percentage points.

Huckabee has yet to parley his second-place win in the Iowa straw poll into a better ranking in the GOP nomination race. A relatively small number of voters were even aware of his success in Iowa.

Governor Huckabee is viewed favorably by 30%, a gain of four percentage points since last month and his strongest showing all year. But 43% still are Not Sure what to think of him. Twenty-seven percent (27%) have an unfavorable view.

Clinton and Obama have consistently been the top two Democrats in the race for their party’s nomination.

Clinton is currently viewed favorably by 45% of Likely Voters nationwide while 54% offer a negative assessment of the former First Lady.

Obama’s numbers are 47% favorable and 45% unfavorable.
