In the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination, New York Senator Hillary Clinton holds a 31 percentage point lead in the Florida primary. Clinton currently attracts support from 46% of Likely Voters, a figure that includes 58% of women.

Illinois Senator Barack Obama earns just 15% of the vote in Florida, followed by former North Carolina Senator John Edwards at 13%. Five other candidates split 4% of the vote and 21% are undecided. The five “other” candidates are New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd, Delaware Senator Joe Biden, Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich, and former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel.

The survey was completed before the latest candidate debate held in South Carolina on Monday night.

Nationally, Clinton is the clear frontrunner. The former First Lady also leads in New Hampshire.

In Florida, among Democratic Likely Primary Voters, Clinton is viewed favorably by 73%, including 46% with a Very Favorable opinion. Fifty-four percent (54%) of women have a Very Favorable opinion of Clinton, a view shared by 33% of men. Twenty-eight percent (28%) of men have a Very Unfavorable opinion of the former First Lady.

Obama is viewed favorably by 62% and unfavorably by 31%. Those figures include 27% with a Very Favorable opinion and 18% with a Very Unfavorable view.

For Edwards, the numbers are 60% favorable and 28% unfavorable.

The other candidates aren’t nearly as well known… or as well liked.

Biden is viewed favorably by 35% and unfavorably by 39%.

Richardson’s numbers are 32% favorable and 39% unfavorable.

Dodd and Kucinich are each viewed favorably by 26%. Kucinich is viewed unfavorably by 39%. Forty-two percent (42%) have a negative view of Dodd.

Gravel’s numbers are 17% favorable and 42% unfavorable. Forty-one percent (41%) don’t know enough to have an opinion.
