In her bid for re-election, Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer holds a 15-point lead over Republican challenger Bill Jones. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that the Libertarian candidate, Jim Gray, attracts 8% of the vote. Boxer wins 79% of the votes from Democrats while 73% of Republicans will vote for Jones. Among voters not affiliated with either party, 50% prefer Boxer, 22% Jones, and 20% Gray. The survey also found that 68% of voters believe the Libertarian candidate should be included in the televised debates. When asked to rate the candidates on a scale from 1 (least favorable) to 9 (most favorable), Boxer received an average rating of 5.4. Jones average was 5.0, while Gray averaged 3.2. While all but 5% of voters knew enough about Boxer to have an opinion of her, 30% did not know enough about Jones to offer an opinion. Most (54%) did not know enough about Gray to have an opinion. In the race for the California's 55 Electoral Votes, Democrat John Kerry holds a solid lead with 52% of the vote. Republican George W.
