In New Mexico, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds President George W. Bush with 48% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 44%. Ralph Nader has 2% of the vote and Libertarian Michael Badnarik has 1%.
Our last survey in New Mexico, conducted August 15, found the candidates tied at 46%.

New Mexico was a "Blue" state won by Al Gore four years ago, but it was Blue by the narrowest of margins. In Election 2000, Gore won the state by less than 400 votes.

Today, New Mexico is one of a handful of Blue States where Bush is tied or slightly ahead this time around. Other states in this category include Iowa and Minnesota. Wisconsin is also very competitive.

New Mexico remains in the "Toss-Up" column for our Electoral College projection.

Rasmussen Reports has recently released state election polls for Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, Washington, Virginia, and Wisconsin
