In Maryland, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows Senator Kerry with 54% of the vote and President Bush with 41%. Four years ago, Al Gore defeated Bush to carry Maryland 57% to 40%.

The last Maryland survey data we released showed Kerry leading 53% to 39%.

The state remains firmly in the Kerry column for our Electoral College projections.

Senator Kerry leads among both men and women in Maryland. He attracts 76% of the votes for Democrats and 52% from unaffiliated voters. Bush earns 79% of the Republican votes and 36% from unaffiliateds.

In Maryland, 45% of all voters Approve of the way President Bush is performing his job. That's up four points from our last survey, but well below his national Job Approval rating.

Leading up to the Republican National Convention, we have released state polling data in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio.
