Alabama's 9 Electoral Votes. The latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds President George W. Bush leading Senator John F. Kerry in the state by a 57% to 36% margin.

Four years ago, Bush carried Alabama by a 57% to 41% margin.

Sixty percent (60%) of Alabama voters Approve of the way Bush is performing his job as President. That figure is well above the President's national Job Approval rating.

Among Alabama men, the President leads 61% to 34%. Among women, Bush leads 53% to 38%. Just 68% of the state's Democrats say they will vote for John Kerry.

Nationally, our daily Tracking Poll also shows that Election 2004 so far is similar to Election 2000--a dead heat.

Data for Alabama will updated again early next month. Rasmussen Reports has also recently released polling data for the states of Minnesota, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon, Missouri, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Texas, California and Ohio. Other state polling data will be released each day this week.
