Clinton Has Highest Level of Base Support, but 46% Would Never Vote for Her

Senator Hillary Clinton (D) now has the highest level of base support among the major candidates running for President. Twenty-nine percent (29%) say they would definitely vote for the former First Lady if she's on the ballot in 2008. However, Clinton is also just one point below the highest level of core opposition this month--46% say they would definitely vote against her. On that count, only Senator Joe Biden (D) scores higher (47% would definitely vote against Biden). Clinton's numbers have changed little over the past month.
