The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Georgia shows Barack Obama leading Hillary Clinton by six percentage points, 41% to 35%. John Edwards is a distant third at 13%.

As in other states in the Democratic race, there is a significant racial divide. Obama leads 59% to 28% among African-American voters while Clinton leads 44% to 25% among White Voters.

While Obama has the lead, Clinton’s support is somewhat stronger. Among Clinton voters, 76% say they are “certain” they won’t change their mind. For Obama, just 64% are that “certain.” As a result, among those who are certain as to how they will vote, the race is even closer—it’s Obama 39% and Clinton 38%.

Nationally, Clinton continues to lead Obama in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

In Georgia, 81% have a favorable opinion of Clinton and 78% say the same about Obama.

Among those who currently support Edwards, 69% have a favorable opinion of Clinton. Fifty-one percent (51%) of Edwards supporters have a favorable opinion of Obama.

Eighty percent (80%) say that Hillary Clinton would be at least somewhat likely to win in November if nominated. Seventy-five percent (75%) have the same confidence in Obama’s electability.

Ninety percent (90%) of Likely Democratic Primary Voters say that the economy is a voting issue. Eighty-two percent (82%) say that Health Care is Very Important and 74% say the same about Government Ethics and Corruption. The War in Iraq is seen as Very Important by 57%.
