Election 2008: Romney Trails Obama and Edwards

In potential head-to-head match-ups of likely contenders for the 2008 presidency, Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) trails both Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D) and former North Carolina Senator John Edwards (D) by double digits.

Edwards, the Democrats’ 2004 Vice Presidential nominee, would beat Romney 50% to 37%. Those numbers are little changed from a month ago when it was Edwards 51% Romney 34%.

In a Romney-Obama pairing, Obama would prevail 47% to 38%. A month ago, it was Obama 48% Romney 33%.
