In Washington, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows Senator Kerry with 52% of the vote and President Bush with 44%. Four years ago, Bush lost Washington's Electoral College votes to Al Gore by five percentage points. A month ago, Kerry was ahead by eight points in our Washington survey. The state remains in the Kerry column for our Electoral College projections. As Election Day approaches, neither candidate has assembled enough states to reach the 270 Electoral Votes needed to win the Election. Fifty-six percent (56%) of Washington voters have a favorable opinion of John Kerry. Forty-four percent (44%) have a favorable opinion of George Bush. Just 38% of Washington voters believe the country is heading in the right direction while 58% think we're heading down the wrong track. Ninety-four percent (94%) of current Kerry voters in Washington are sure that's how they will vote. Ninety percent (90%) of Bush voters are that "certain." In Washington, 45% of all voters Approve of the way President Bush is performing his job. That's down a point from a month ago and well below his national Job Approval rating.
