Most Voters Say No Wall, Another Shutdown Likely

Wednesday, January 30, 2019

Voters don’t expect Congress to fund President Trump’s border wall and think another federal government shutdown is likely on the way.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 25% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is even somewhat likely the president and Congress will reach an agreement in the next three weeks that includes funding for border security including a wall on the U.S. Mexico border. Seventy-one percent (71%) consider such an agreement unlikely. This includes only seven percent (7%) who say a border security deal is Very Likely and 28% who see it as Not At All Likely.
