Poll: 16% Pick Bronx Bombers to Win World Series

Sixteen percent (16%) of America’s baseball fans think the New York Yankees will emerge on top in 2007 to win their first World Series Championship in seven years. The Rasmussen Reports survey of 901 baseball fans found that (11%) think the Boston Red Sox will win it all. Nine percent (9%) think the Detroit Tigers will go back to the World Series and win it this time. The New York Mets are the top-pick in the National League, favored by 7% to win the Series. The defending Champion St. Louis Cardinals are expected to repeat by 6% of baseball fans. Thirty-two percent (32%) believe the Yankees will win their 40th American League pennant in 2007. However, 28% think the Red Sox will win for the second time in four seasons. Sixteen percent (16%) think the Tigers will win and 10% pick the Chicago White Sox and 7% the Los Angeles Angels. In the National League, 27% think the Cardinals will repeat and 24% think the Mets will win. Seventeen percent (17%) pick the Chicago Cubs and 15% the Los Angeles Dodgers.
