Patriots Still Favored to Win Super Bowl

Only eight National Football League teams are left heading into this weekend’s divisional playoff round, and the New England Patriots remain the top pick among fans to win the Super Bowl.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of professional football fans shows that 37% believe the Patriots will win the championship this year. No other team comes close, but both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers pick up the vote from 12% of fans. Ten percent (10%) pick the Atlanta Falcons, while six percent (6%) think the Chicago Bears will come out on top.

Just five percent (5%) believe the Baltimore Ravens will win it all, while the Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets tie for last place with four percent (4%) support. Twelve percent (12%) of football fans are not sure who will win this year’s Super Bowl. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
