Kaepernick Hiring Has No Impact on NFL Viewing Habits

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who left the team in 2016 to become a free agent, is still not currently signed to any professional team as the football season gets under way. But whether or not Kaepernick is signed to a team this season will have little impact on Americans tuning in for NFL games.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 13% of American Adults say they will be more likely to watch National Football League games this fall if Kaepernick has not been hired by any NFL team. Nineteen percent (19%) are less likely to watch NFL games if Kaepernick remains unsigned, but most (61%) say it will have no impact on their viewing habits.
