Ms. Jolie Viewed Favorably By 46% of Americans
30% Find Angelina Jolie Unfavorable

She’s an Oscar winning actress, philanthropist and a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations. But how did Angelina Jolie fare in a recent Rasmussen Reports survey? Overall, 46% have a favorable opinion of the Girl, Interrupted actress. Twenty percent (20%) have a somewhat unfavorable opinion of her, and 10% have a very unfavorable opinion. Forty-one percent (41%) of adults are unsure if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would marry by the end of the year. Only 33% see a union likely. Meanwhile, just 25% say marriage between the two Mr. & Mrs. Smith superstars is unlikely. Americans are divided on their support of Angelina Jolie’s service as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say she is a suitable representative, while 35% feel she is not an appropriate delegate. More people have an opinion of Angelina Jolie than they do of Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson or Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Many celebrities like Angelina Jolie use their influences to draw attention to social and political causes. Of those surveyed, 52% favor a celebrity’s influence for social causes, but 31% oppose. On the contrary, 51% of Americans say a celebrity should not use their influence to help political causes and candidates. Thirty-three percent (33%) support celebrity influence in politics.
