Welcome 2019!

It’s officially a new year, but Americans aren’t heralding the holiday as one of the nation’s most important.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 13% of American Adults consider New Year’s Day to be one of our nation’s most important holidays, in line with recent years. Twenty-nine percent (29%) think it’s one of the least important holidays, while 54% see it as somewhere in between. The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on December 26-27, 2018 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology
