Forty-nine percent (49%) of Americans look forward to this day, 19% dread it, and 32% have neither reaction.

Married Americans look forward to Valentine's Day far more than those who are not married. Among Married Americans, 59% look forward to this celebration while only 13% dread it.

As for those who are not married, 32% look forward to February 14 while 28% dread it.

Thirty-four percent (34%) of men say they will send flowers for Valentine's Day, but only 29% of women expect to receive them.

Thirty-one percent (31%) of Americans expect to enjoy a Valentine's Day dinner with someone special. This includes 34% of those who are married and 25% of those who are not.

Given the choice, 69% of women say they would prefer a Valentine's dinner rather than flowers or candy. Sixteen percent (16%) want flowers, while 6% prefer chocolate.

Among men, 80% prefer dinner, 9% candy, and 2% flowers.
