Two-thirds of American adults (65%) at least occasionally rent movies for home viewing. Twenty-four percent (24%) say that they watch a movie at home at least once a week. Younger Americans are more likely to rent movies each week than older Americans. While online rentals from websites such as NetFlix or Movielink are taking a growing share of that market, most adults still rent their movies from a video store such as Blockbuster. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 62% of movie viewers rent their DVDs from a video store.
