* How closely have you followed news reports about a new law that might allow states with financial problems to declare bankruptcy?

* Cities are currently allowed to file for bankruptcy, but states are not. If a state is unable to pay its financial obligations, should it be allowed to file for bankruptcy?

* If a state filed for bankruptcy, government employees might have their pension benefits reduced. Knowing this, would you favor or oppose allowing states to file for bankruptcy?

* Suppose you had a choice between paying significantly higher taxes or having your state file for bankruptcy. Which would you prefer?

* Should the federal government provide bailout funding for states with serious financial problems?
