Fewer Than Ever Now Say Economy is Fair to Women

Amid renewed calls for pay equality across many industries, including Hollywood, fewer voters than ever now think the U.S. economy is fair to women.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters now think the economy is at least somewhat fair to women, including 22% who think it is Very Fair. That’s down from 61% in May 2016 and the lowest finding in five years of surveying. Forty-four percent (44%) now say the economy is unfair to women, including 18% who say it’s Not At All Fair. This, too, is up from earlier surveys. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
