Thirty-six percent (36%) of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Sixty-two percent (62%) Disapprove. These figures include just 13% who Strongly Approve and 44% who Strongly Disapprove. The President earns Approval from just 66% of Republicans, matching the lowest level of support from his own party ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports. While the War in Iraq has long been a drag on the President’s ratings, the debate over immigration has pushed his approval to new lows because it has cost him support among his base.
