In Minnesota, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds Senator John F. Kerry with 48% of the vote and President George W. Bush with 43%.

That result is similar to our March survey which found Kerry leading 47% to 44%. In Election 2000, Minnesota went for Al Gore by a 48% to 46% margin.

Minnesota is like most other states so far this year--the latest Rasmussen Reports poll results are similar to the actual outcome from four years ago. Nationally, our daily Tracking Poll also shows that Election 2004 so far is similar to Election 2000--a dead heat.

There are exceptions. The President is running ahead of his pace from four years ago in Pennsylvania. But, in Virginia and North Carolina, the President is trailing his performance from four years ago.

Forty-eight percent (48%) of Minnesota voters Approve of the way Bush is performing his job as President. That figure is slightly below the President's national Job Approval rating.

Data for Minnesota will updated again early next month. Rasmussen Reports has also recently released polling data for the states of New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon, Missouri, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Texas, California and Ohio. Other state polling data will be released each day this week.
