Louisiana: Bush 52% Kerry 44%

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows the President with 52% of the Louisiana vote and Senator Kerry with 44%. The ballot in Louisiana will include several other candidates including Ralph Nader at 1% and Green Party candidate David Cobb at 1%. Libertarian Michael Badnarik and Constitution Party candidate Michael Peroutka each attract at less than 0.5%. Four years ago, the President carried the state by an eight point margin over Vice President Al Gore, 53% to 45%. For our Electoral College projections, Louisiana remains in the "Leans Bush" category. Information on the North Carolina Senate race will be released next week. Bush is viewed favorably by 52% of Louisiana voters, Kerry by 41%. Regardless of who they want to win, 58% of Louisiana voters think President Bush will be re-elected.
