Massachusetts Governor
All Democrats Lead Healey (R)

A month has gone by since our last poll in Massachusetts and there's a new Democrat in the race for Governor. But, the latest Rasmussen Reports Election Poll in the Bay State shows essentially the same thing as our April survey--Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey (R) trails every Democrat she is matched against.

In fact, each Democrat has a double-digit lead over the likely GOP nominee.

When voters consider a three-way match-up, Democratic Attorney General Thomas Reilly leads Healey 38% to 26%. Lawyer Deval L. Patrick holds a 36% to 26% edge while wealthy investor Chris Gabrieli leads the Republican 37% to 25%

Christy P. Mihos, running as an Independent, continues to grab support from 14% to 16% of voters.

The survey also found that Governor Mitt Romney would lose his home state Electoral Votes in a match-up with Virginia's Mark Warner.

A separate survey found that Massachusetts Senator John Kerry would win a rematch with President Bush by a seven point margin--48% to 41%.

Not surprisingly, Massachusetts voters have an especially harsh view of President Bush. Just 16% give the President good or excellent marks for his energy policy and only 19% offer such positive assessments of the way he has handled the immigration issue.

The President's strongest issue is National Security, but even on that just 33% say the President is doing a good or an excellent job. Forty-four percent (44%) say he is doing a poor job on national security matters.
