Survey of 1,000 Adults November 21-22, 2005

November 23, 2005--Forty-four percent (44%) of Americans will have Thanksgiving dinner at home this year. Another 43% will be celebrating the meal at the home of a relative. A Rasmussen Reports holiday survey found that 6% will be at a friend's home, 3% at a restaurant, and 2% will not have a thanksgiving dinner. Turkey will be the main course for 81% of Americans. Eight percent (8%) will enjoy Ham, while 7% will opt for some other meal. Forty-eight percent percent (48%) of Americans will watch football on TV, including 56% of men and 40% of women. Forty-six percent (46%) of Americans say they will eat too much. That includes 62% of adults under 30 but just 28% of those over 65. [More Below]
Sixteen percent (16%) of Americans say that they will do at least some work for their job on Thanksgiving Day. That figure includes 27% of men under 40.
